Adventure Team Member - Permanent Full-Time and Casual Positions Available.
Locations: All adventure team members move between all three sites; however, they are based at one site. All three sites act as base sites.
Adventure Team members run activities for our campers, ranging from canoeing to archery. If you like the sound of working with people in the Australian outdoors, this could be the role for you. We are currently offering casual positions.
Key Roles
- Running activities for campers ranging from school groups to church groups
- Maintain and repair activity equipment and property
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing conditions or situations
Outdoor Traineeships with the Adventure Team
Location: All adventure team members move between all three sites, however, are based at one site. All three sites act as base sites.
CCC Camps are offering an exciting new traineeship program, open to those aged 18-24, who are passionate about Outdoor leadership. After the two-year course (or an accelerated one year), applicants will be qualified with a Cert III in Outdoor Leadership through the Outdoor Training College. Course fees are covered, and applicants will be employed by CCC Camps throughout the program, with a possible job opportunity at the end. Applicants will receive mentorship in technical skills and character development provided by CCC Camps.
Kitchen Team Member Casuals
Locations: All Kitchen team members move between all three sites however, are based at one site. All three sites act as base sites.
If you are seeking to build your hospitality and commercial kitchen skills in a supportive environment look no further, than the CCC Camps kitchen team. Serve campers of all ages with flexible hours during weekdays and weekends. CCC Camps currently have casual positions and Apprenticeships in commercial cookery available.
Key Roles
- Supporting the chef in daily tasks
- Organising the storeroom (FIFO)
- Washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces and kitchen
- Operate the oven, deep fryer, stove and dishwasher
Outdoor Recreation Program Coordinator - Full Time
Location Burwood, Sydney NSW
About us
We are a Christian faith-based venue and events not-for-profit organisation that caters to the needs of schools, churches, youth groups, disability services and other community-based groups. We operate several tier-one venues across NSW that specialise in outdoor adventure activities. We are looking to appoint an experienced, proactive Outdoor Recreation Team Co-Ordinator.
Qualifications & experience
The ideal candidate will most likely work in a similar role, preferably within a faith-based organisation. Alternatively, you may have a more general background in education or training in safety and complaint. Finally, you may have experience leading youth groups and feel you possess the skills and attributes to be successful in this role.
- Diploma in Outdoor Leadership or equivalent industry experience shown through references.
- Supervisory skills and safety-minded approach.
- CPR /First Aid certificate / Bronze Medallion
- A current NSW Working with Children Check and willingness to complete Safe Ministry Training
- Clear, confident, and warm verbal communication with an approachable and welcoming personality
- Full agreement with CCC Camp's core “Statement of Faith” per our constitution.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide robust and inspirational leadership to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Effectively manage, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Outdoor Program Development:
- Design, plan, and implement various outdoor recreational and adventure programs.
- Ensure programs align with organisational goals and safety standards and provide enriching experiences for participants.
- Safety and Risk Management:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all outdoor activities comply with industry standards and regulations—Liaise with external bodies on best practices and legislation changes/revisions.
- Assess and manage risks associated with outdoor activities, taking proactive measures to ensure participant safety.
- Equipment and Resource Management
- Oversee the maintenance and inventory of outdoor equipment and resources, including regular equipment inspection.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to procure necessary equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
- Participant Engagement and Customer Satisfaction:
- Foster positive relationships with program participants, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Gather feedback and continuously improve programs based on participant experiences.
- Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing training to team members on outdoor skills, safety procedures, and customer service.
- Identify and address skill gaps, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Community Outreach:
- Represent the organisation in the outdoor recreation community.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders to enhance program offerings.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Provide necessary reporting to the Board and work with Youth Camps Director(s) on successful camp operations.
